A fun, hands-on coffee experience designed especially for teachers and school staff.
Step away from the classroom for an hour or two and learn how to make café-style coffee with The Long Black. We'll bring the coffee setup to your school, show you how it's done, and then you'll get to have a go yourself.
The best part? You can make a coffee for your colleagues.
What You'll Do
I'll take you through the basics of making great coffee, from the beans to the finished cup.
Coffee & Espresso
Learn what goes into a good espresso and how the coffee machine and grinder work.
The Grinder
Have a go at grinding and dosing coffee correctly.
Milk Texturing
Learn how to steam and texture milk to create smooth, café-style milk.
Make Your Coffee
Put it all together and make your own café-style coffee.
Make One for a Colleague
Once you've got the hang of it, make a coffee for someone else!
It's Not a Course.
It's a Coffee Experience.
There doesn't need to be a test, assessment or certificate.
Whether your staff are already coffee snobs or still learning the difference between a latte and a long black, everyone can get involved.
The session is relaxed, practical and hands-on, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practise your skills and enjoy the experience together.

How It Works

We bring the mobile coffee setup, equipment and everything needed for the session to your school.

We'll start with a simple demonstration covering the basics of espresso, grinding and milk texturing.
You Have a Go
Staff get hands-on and start making their own coffees with guidance along the way.

Once you've mastered your coffee, it's time to make one for a colleague.

What You'll Learn
Nothing overly technical — just practical coffee skills you'll actually use.

Safety First
Coffee equipment involves hot water, steam and heated surfaces, so we'll provide a safety briefing before anyone gets hands-on.
All practical activities are supervised, and will be guided through the equipment and coffee-making process.
